The ExpoElectronica exhibition has been driving the growth of the Russian electronics industry for 25 years. Since 2022, ExpoElectronica has proudly partnered with the School of Digital Circuit Synthesis project, dedicated to fostering and expanding the talent pool within the electronics sector. The Russian electronics industry is in need of superstar microarchitects to lead development teams in electronic companies. The ideal platform for these rising stars to shine is Russia's largest exhibition in the field of micro- and radio electronics—ExpoElectronica.
The School of Digital Circuit Synthesis is a free educational program designed to teach modern digital microcircuit design, even for beginners. Based on an expanded MIT course, the curriculum covers FPGA microcircuits, computer architecture, and processor microarchitecture, offering hands-on experience with debug boards, peripheral equipment, and professional design tools for ASICs. A dedicated section focuses on RISC-V architecture, where students learn processor design and verification using the schoolIRISCV core. The program includes practical training, personalized support, and a final mock interview to prepare participants for careers in the electronics industry.
High School Students
Learn how microchips power smartphones, game consoles, and autonomous vehicles, and explore FPGAs used in systems like spacecraft and AI.
Undergraduate Students
Build a solid foundation in circuit design and computer architecture for advanced studies.
Educators
Gain new ideas to create or enhance courses in physics, math, and technical fields.
WHERE WILL THE CLASSES BE HELD?
Classes are held at Skolkovo Technopark and streamed on the School of Digital Circuit Synthesis YouTube channel.
Remote clusters with equipped computer labs are available at universities in Moscow (MIREA, MIET, MIEM HSE) and cities like Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Samara, Innopolis, Severodvinsk, and Cheboksary.
Each session hosts around 170 in-person attendees, with many others joining online or watching recordings.
WHEN ARE THE CLASSES HELD?
September to December 2022
